AKC Champion Labradors in Florida

We are a small kennel based in central Florida with multiple trips to Virginia during the year. We are focused on breeding Labradors to the breed standard, and strive to produce offspring that can go on to achieve their AKC Champion title, focusing on high quality conformation dogs. We recognize that not all puppies will become AKC Champions, so temperament, structure, and health are our foundations for breeding and producing puppies that are first and foremost the best companion dogs for their owners.

With optimal temperatures most of the year, we are based out of Central Florida within close proximity to the Orlando International and Tampa International Airports. An AKC Breeder of Merit, we follow breed-specific guidelines for both AKC and the parent club (The Labrador Club, Inc.) to ensure our status as an ethical breeder.

Our History

With our strong ties to the equine community, we have enjoyed bringing our dogs to horse events and in 2006 we entered the AKC Conformation events with Kimberwick Back in Black, “Diesel.” Diesel decided he like agility more than conformation, so his AKC modeling experience was limited. In 2015, “Bronson,” CH Tealwood Who Needs To Study (Tyric Tealwood’s Quick Study x Tealwood’s Add A Step To The Strutt) joined our house from Tealwood Kennel. “Bronson” is now an AKC champion winning several Owner-Handler Group placings with very limited showing. 

So where did the Beagle connection come in? Well, on a trip to Westminster with Bronson, I received a request from a friend abroad that needed help getting a Beagle over to her international transporter. This was the start of my connection with Chaucer Kennels in the Philippines. Two years later, Philippine CH, Hall of Fame winner Chaucer Hadassah “Dassah” joined us in the US in May 2019. She quickly finished her AKC Championship and that was the start to our beagle connection.

All our breeding dogs undergo comprehensive health screenings, including hip and elbow x-rays, echocardiograms, eye clearances, dilute gene testing, and tests for common genetic disorders, to ensure that we have the knowledge in hand prior to breeding. 

2. Temperament and Personality: We understand the importance of a Labrador’s temperament in creating lifelong companions. Our dogs possess the desirable traits of intelligence, trainability, and a friendly disposition.

3. Ethical Practices: We adhere to high ethical standards in our breeding program. We carefully select suitable mates based on their genetic compatibility and strive to improve the breed with each generation. We prioritize the well-being of our dogs above all else. We are an AKC Breeder of Merit in both Labradors and Beagles. 

4. Early Socialization and Enrichment: We believe in providing a nurturing environment for our puppies from the moment they are born. Early socialization and mental stimulation play a vital role in shaping their development, ensuring they grow up to be confident and well-adjusted individuals.
